기능적 뇌 MRI 검사, Functional brain MRI examination

뇌의 각 부위의 기능에 관한 정보를 더 자세히 알아볼 때,
뇌 종양의 위치 확인,
종양이 나 있는 뇌 부위와 주위의 상태 등을 더 자세히 알아보기 위해 기능적 뇌 MRI 검사를 할 수 있다.
그 외 내과적 치료로 치료되지 않는 간질을 뇌수술로 치료를 하기 전,
다른 어떤 이유로 뇌의 기능을 알아보기 위해,
언어 중추 센터의 위치를 알아보기 위해,
이 검사를 받는 환아가 검사받는 머리를 몇 mm 움직여도 검사의 결과가 불확실하게 나타날 수 있다.
5세 이하의 환아들의 기능적 뇌 MRI 검사를 할 때는 수면제 등으로 안정시키고,
5세 이상 유아들이나 학령기 아이들이 이 검사를 받을 때는 수면제 등 약물로 안정시키지 않고 할 수 있다.
이 검사를 하는 데는 보통 15~30분 정도 걸린다.

Functional brain MRI examination

• To learn more about the functioning of each part of the brain,

• localization of brain tumors;

• A functional brain MRI scan can be performed to find out more about the area of the brain where the tumor is located and the surrounding conditions.

• Prior to brain surgery for epilepsy not treated with other medical treatments,

• To find out how the brain is functioning for any other reason;

• To locate the language central centers;

• Even if a child undergoing this test moves the test head by a few millimeters, the test result may appear uncertain.

• When performing functional brain MRI in children under 5 years of age, stabilize them with sleeping pills, etc.

• When children over 5 years of age or school-age children have this test, it can be done without being stabilized with drugs such as sleeping pills.

• This test usually takes 15 to 30 minutes.
