피부동 관, Dermal sinus tract

항문 바로 위에 있는 신체 상하 중앙선의 피부에 피부동(Dermal sinus)이나 유피 낭종(Dermoid cyst)이 선천성으로 나 있을 수 있다.
피부동이 선천성으로 천골이나 미골에 있는 척수막에 연결되어 있을 수 있다.
이런 기형을 피부동 관(Dermal sinus tract)이라고 한다.
그 외 후방 신체의 상하 중앙선의 피부에 틈새가 있을 수 있다. 이런 선천성 기형을 볼기사이 틈새 또는 “둔부사이 열(Intergluteal cleft)”이라고 한다.
이런 기형들은 태아 적 좌우 신경관이 정상적으로 융합되지 않아서 생긴다.
부위의 초음파 검사나 MRI 검사로 진단한다. X선 검사는 별 진단 가치가 없다(출처-Pediatric News, July 2007).
출생 후 때로는 박테리아에 피부동 관이 감염될 수 있고 피부동 관을 통해 척수막까지 감염될 수 있다. 피부동 관이 감염될 때 척수막도 동시 감염될 수 있다.
그 때문에 이런 종류의 피부동 관은 선택적으로 수술로 치료한다.

• Dermal sinus or Dermoid cyst may be congenitally formed on the skin of the upper and lower midline of the body just above the anus.

• The sinuses may be congenitally connected to the meninges in the sacrum or coccyx.

• This anomaly is called the Dermal sinus tract.

• In addition, there may be gaps in the skin of the upper and lower midline of the rear body. This congenital anomaly is called the intergluteal cleft or “intergluteal cleft.”

• These malformations are caused by the failure of the fetal left and right neural tubes to fuse normally.

• Diagnosis is made by ultrasound examination or MRI examination of the area. X-ray examination has no diagnostic value (source-Pediatric News, July 2007).

• After birth, bacteria can sometimes infect the sinus tract and through the sinus canal to the spinal membrane. When the sinus duct becomes infected, the meninges can also be co-infected.

• For that reason, this type of cutaneous sinus duct is treated selectively surgically.

• Dermal sinus;

• Pilonidal sinus,

• Pilonidal cyst;

• Postnatal dimple

• Hydrocephalus (hydrocephalus) and

• See congenital cerebrospinal malformations.
