▪ 뇌전증 발작(Seizures)에는 여러 형의 발작이 있다.
▪ 그 형에 따라 발작 징후가 다르게 나타난다. 예를 들면 다음과 같은 발작 증상 징후가 나타날 수 있다.
▪ 하던 일이나 활동을 갑자기 중지하고 공백 상태에서 멍할 수 있다.
▪ 그 주위를 목적 없이 왔다 갔다 배회할 수도 있다.
▪ 근육을 씰룩씰룩 움찔거릴 수도 있다.
▪ 근육이 빳빳해지고 단단해지고 이완될 수 있다.
▪ 서 있다가 갑자기 쓰러질 수도 있다.
▪ 발작을 몇 초 내지 2~4분 동안 지속할 수 있다.
▪ 발작 중 팔다리를 흔들 수도 있다.
▪ 그러나 발작으로 뇌가 상하지 않는다.
▪ 경련도 할 수 있다.
